Buyer Beware - Sprint Cellular Service

Before you decide on signing up with Sprint you may want to reconsider. With many allegations and lawsuits spanning the pages of the internet it would be worth your time to do your home work before siging on the dotted line.

My husband has been a long time customer of Sprint over five years. However, over the past two years we have had nothing but problems. First he is required by his employer to have adequate coverage.

We have had poor coverage, even when the map shows that we are in good to excellent. Dropped calls even while on the phone with Sprint when trying to talk about the situation. Then we found that our contract was extended without changing anything on our plan. Additionally, after complaining about the service and the extention they were supposed to fix the date and issue a credit on our bill. After numerous calls and nothing done we wrote a certified letter to the president and CEO.

We got a response. Within days of the letter being signed for we received an email. My husband will be calling her back and I will keep you informed of our progress.

However, if you are currently a Sprint subscriber beware and be informed. Do a google search on Sprint lawsuit or similar and you will find a vast number of articles that detail the problems people have had with their Sprint service. (see links below) Make note of them and review your bill carefully and document when your contract is to expire. If you call them about a problem document the date and with whom you speak with including what office they work out of. The minute you notice anything out of the ordinary on your bill contact them immediately and again document every conversation.

Oh about that certified letter. We received a response via email within days of the letter being signed for. My husband will be contacting her back and I will keep you posted on our progress.
